I’m Margaret — the founder, creative director, and photographer/videographer behind Artē.
My work lives in the space between emotion and intention, where storytelling, aesthetics, and brand strategy overlap. Clients come to me not just for beautiful visuals, but for a creative partner who thinks beyond the images and frames themselves.
My approach has been shaped by my life across countries — starting from the fast-paced, detail-driven wedding industry in the United States to discovering the artistic side of photography in Mexico and reconnecting with creative passion in South Africa. These experiences taught me to see beauty in the unplanned, inspiration in the unexpected, and story in even the smallest details.
Artē blends photography, videography, creative direction, and marketing insight into a single, cohesive creative service. For brands and individuals who want visuals that feel elevated, emotional, and strategic, Artē becomes both your creative partner and your visual storyteller.
The work is intentional.
The visuals are refined.
The experience is collaborative and supportive.
And every project is built around your brand’s unique identity — not trends, templates, or recycled concepts.
This means your content isn’t just beautiful —
it’s purposeful, cohesive, and growth-oriented.
Clients choose Artē because they want originality, intention, and visuals that feel like their brand — not “what everyone else is doing.”

Artē comes from the Spanish word arte, meaning art — a tribute to where my creative transformation began. While living in Mexico, I was asked last-minute to photograph cocktails for a popular bar on La Quinta Avenida in Playa Del Carmen. I said yes having no plan, no direction and no idea what the f*ck I was doing. I had never photographed anything in the nightlife setting other than a wedding reception. I was completely clueless yet inspired. And something clicked. When I delivered that gallery, for the first time, photography didn’t feel like a job — it felt like art.
It felt alive.
It felt intuitive.
It felt like home.
That moment opened the creative side of me that I didn’t even know existed.
Later, when I moved to South Africa and felt creatively drained from running a business and adjusting to living away from everything I knew, I realized I needed a way back to the passion I found in Mexico. That spark. That curiosity. That sense of play.
Artē became that home —
a creative outlet, a passion project, a business, and a way of keeping that fire alive.
It’s born from inspiration, meant to inspire others in return.
The name represents:
• Returning to artistic instinct
• Creating without limits
• Trusting the creative process
• Honoring the moment photography stopped being work
• Blending culture, travel, and artistry
• Keeping creativity sacred even within a business
Artē is not just what I create.
It’s who I became in the process of creating it and the way I stay connected to the roots of the place and people that influenced me to where I am today.
Have a story to tell? I’d love to hear it. Let’s begin with a simple note.
